Testimonials

I would just like to say how delighted I am with the 4X loupes and Voroscope illumination system you kindly supplied recently. As you know I had been using the 2.5 Orascoptic loupes with the Surgitel light. I must say that the combination provides vision which is far superior and absolutely first class. I can now work even faster, with better results and power of diagnosis. I am certain that I am finding more work to do so the investment is also financially viable!

It is a pleasure to work with them as it was a pleasure doing business with you.

Wishing you a continued success

Alex Grey

Carl Zeiss Cold Light Illumination System

Description

Cold Light Illumination System

The Carl Zeiss KL1500 and KL2500LCK LCD Cold Light Illumination Systems represent a significant development in clinical lighting. Using a liquid light guide mounted directly to either the EyeMag Pro Prism Loupes an homogeneous, uniform illumination of the field of view is provided. With a 150W/250W halogen lamp and an LCD display illustrating colour temperature the light source provides continuous brightness adjustment. The "fluid filled" Liquid Light Guide System is used to guarantee high luminous intensity and natural colour rendition

Specification

This offers many advantages over fragile and costly fibre optics:
A reduction in weight of 50%
A slender and flexible light guide which is much more comfortable to use.
A reduction in running costs with no fibres to break.
Improved transmission, providing a "whiter" white light of greater intensity.
Dual Light Intensity and Colour Temperature controls.
Accommodation of Colour Filters during surgery.
An impressive "whisper-quiet" motor.
Can be used as an excellent light source without Loupes.
Carry handle simplifies movement in theatre.

See the difference
Good illumination is as important and as helpful as the magnification factor in many surgical fields. For example in breast surgery, when getting down into the axilla, a surgeon frequently finds that his /her head gets between the overhead lights and the operative site. The surgeon's own shadow gets in the way of the surgeon's vision. Head aligned illumination completely overcomes this major problem.

No more lamp repositioning
An other advantage of eye-aligned illumination is seen in Dental Surgery where the irritating and irksome task of having to constantly reposition the overhead surgery light is eliminated. The Loupe Light combination floods the oral cavity with light, most effectively. By eliminating the need to adjust the overhead light, one also eliminates any anxieties or concerns about the hazards of cross infection risks associated with light handling .
