Optimal treatment requires optimal visualisation. EyeMag Pro loupes from Carl Zeiss generate a brilliant, stereoscopic image facilitating better differentiation of ultr-fine structures. the result, increased efficiency and elevated levels of care. select your loupe from a wide range of working distances and magnification levels. We offer a choice in carriers, titanium frames or a headband. You will be amazed by the unparallel optical quality of the EyeMag Pro system. Carl Zeiss EyeMag Pro Prism Loupes

The EyeMag Pro loupes are binocular magnifying devices for stereoscopic near vision. Worn with the aid of special spectacle frames or a lightweight headband, they leave both hands free to perform intricate tasks. These Kepler-type teleloupe systems provide superb, edge-to-edge image quality and as a result have been adopted by surgeons worldwide. There are many unique features of the Carl Zeiss EyeMag Pro Loupe which makes it so attractive to so many:

Choose your working distance
It is most important that the correct Working Distance be identified . Too short a distance invites neck and back trouble; too long an uncomfortable stretch . If one's Working Distance is not known it is a relatively simple matter to determine what it is. If one adopts a normal, comfortable operating posture and has a colleague run a tape measure from one's eye to hand, this invariably provides a reliable guide to help selection. Five different working distances are available.

Edge-to-edge field of view
Absolute edge-to-edge clarity of the magnified Field of View is provided with no "fuzziness" around the periphery, the hallmark of quality in the field of magnification. The chart below presents the full range of 10 models in diagrammatic form.

Large range of models
Select from a range of 10 models, all providing superb image quality, to ensure the correct magnification and working distance for your application . For instance three models, the x3.2/500, the x3.3/450 and the x4 /500 are particularly popular in the Cardiothoracic field, with large fields of view . In this speciality, the employment of magnification is seen as nearly essential, for instance, in procedures involving the coronary artery. Surgeons in other disciplines have a wide selection from which to choose. An Oral or Dental Surgeon, for example, will select a model with a much smaller field of view but the precision presentation will be of exactly the same quality.

Degrees of magnifications
A choice of 8 different degrees of magnification from x3.2 to x5 is offered, with considerable variation in between. It is important that one selects a degree of magnification that is comfortable to work with as well as both enhancing one's skill and reducing fatigue. In nonhealth care applications such as precision engraving in silver and gold, gem setting, art restoration and other skilled crafts, some of the higher magnification loupes such as x6 and x8 are used with wonderful results.

Balance and comfort
Complete comfort is assured, during the longest procedures, because of the soft, silicone "saddle" bridge piece on the Titanium Spectacle Frame or the over-all balance provided by the alternative Headband Carrier.

Exceptional Vision with Carl Zeiss

With an exceptional range of Carl Zeiss magnification and illumination systems, Nuview can offer loupes for every dentist’s needs. Dr Turner has been using loupes for over 14 years and has found them invaluable in all aspects of his work. ”Within ten minutes of using loupes I would have preferred to work with one hand than without my loupes.”

A recent decision to work with higher magnification led to a week’s trial of Carl Zeiss loupes at x4.3 and Dr Turner found these to be of superior quality to any he has used before. “Vision is incredible; the detail you can see is mind blowing…the objects seem sharper in the Zeiss loupes than others I have used.”

Dr Turner is extremely pleased with his new Zeiss loupes, and far prefers the illumination system of the loupes than a surgery light. His one concern was if the cost would justify the means, even though they were 2/3 the price of the closest option. “My DSA, with over 20 years experience told me I am working more quickly. Loupes sold!”

Dr Turner now does all his dentistry in his loupes, and lists some of the many advantages to this.
• Oral surgery is quicker as bone and tooth demarcation is obvious
• Examinations are quicker as you can see subtle changes in the teeth colour (radiographs are almost just for confirmation!)
• Operative dentistry is quicker and more accurate as you are looking at a bigger object.

I would just like to say how delighted I am with the 4X loupes and Voroscope illumination system you kindly supplied recently. As you know I had been using the 2.5 Orascoptic loupes with the Surgitel light. I must say that the combination provides vision which is far superior and absolutely first class. I can now work even faster, with better results and power of diagnosis. I am certain that I am finding more work to do so the investment is also financially viable!

It is a pleasure to work with them as it was a pleasure doing business with you.

Wishing you a continued success

Testimonials

Dr Asim Ayub, Specialist in Endodontics - Wimbledon

“I have always known that the optical quality of Carl Zeiss lenses is fantastic and the GTX surgical loupes were a welcome addition to my Carl Zeiss collection. I use Carl Zeiss microscopy at my specialist referral-based practice in Wimbledon. However, when travelling to practices as a visiting specialist I find that my loupes are invaluable, as not all general practices will invest in microscopes.

I decided on purchasing the GTX loupes when my trusted G2’s, which I have used for almost a decade, were accidentally broken; it gave me the ideal opportunity to upgrade during the interim period of repair. I chose the GTX surgical loupes, supplied by Nuview, because they were a portable solution: giving me the lower end of the magnification afforded by a microscope, without a compromise in the quality.  My G2 loupes were repaired back to working order through Nuview, who offered a fully comprehensive and very efficient service.

The styling of Zeiss was also a factor in my decision to go for the GTX loupes. The silver finish makes them far more aesthetically pleasing as compared with other loupes on the market. Historically, patients and clinical colleagues have always commented on the appealing looks of my G2’s and I was pleased to see the smart silver finish extended across the whole range.

GTX are also fantastic loupes for routine dentistry and I would certainly recommend them to my dental colleagues on the basis of their superior optical quality, ergonomics and of course, the styling.

Indeed, the team at Nuview looked after me very well with a first class service for a first class product – Thanks guys.”

Nuview Carl Zeiss GTX Loupes

When I first decided to invest in the Carl Zeiss GTX Loupes, I had intended to use them mainly during endodontic procedures. However, I now use them for a range of other treatments including restorative work and for scaling the teeth. Even for patient examinations they are proving particularly useful, both for detecting caries and for assessing the extent of some of the better composite resin restorations we now see in our patients’ mouths.

One of the key features is the weight. Due to the through-the-lens loupes design, the GTX is not at all heavy, and no headband is needed. This makes the loupes very comfortable to wear, which is important when you are spending much of the procedure with your head tilted forward.

The standard of magnification is very good and I find that wearing the loupes helps my posture while I am working due to the working distance. It has reached the stage now where I start to miss them when I am not using them, because of how they benefit my work.
