DISINFECTANT FOR DENTAL UNIT WATER LINES

HTM 01-05 states that, “no currently available single method or device will completely eliminate biocontamination of dental unit water lines or exclude the risk of cross-infection”. CE marked for use with medical appliances, Continu
Disinfectant for Dental Unit Water Lines is highly effective at eliminating biofilm to achieve long term reduction in microbial contamination. Yet, being water based, it is very gentle, making it harmless to water lines and safe for patients.

As the disinfectant only needs to be applied weekly, it saves staff time and is also very economical compared to existing solutions.

DENTAL INSTRUMENT CLEANER

HTM 01-05 states that “effective cleaning of dental instruments before sterilisation is of the utmost importance to reduce the risk of transmission of infectious agents.”

The Continu Dental Instrument Cleaner is a concentrated solution that should be diluted to 5%. It is ideal for pre-cleaning instruments as it is so gentle that it will not damage equipment but the surfactant is sufficiently powerful to remove debris.
HTM 01-05 states, “Alcohol has been shown to bind blood and protein to stainless steel. The use of alcohol with dental instruments should therefore be avoided.” The Continu Instrument cleaner has been shown in tests against leading alcohol based alternatives to eliminate protein from surfaces.

Available in a 1 litre bottle with measuring cap that delivers 20 litres of cleaning solution or a cost effective 5 litre refill that produces 100 litres, the Instrument Cleaner is CE marked for use on dental equipment.

ULTRASONIC CLEANER

Effective cleaning of dental instruments is an essential prerequisite before sterilisation and ultrasonic cleaning is one of the three methods in HTM 01-05.

The Continu Ultrasonic Cleaner is a CE marked “ready to use” water based solution that contains a mild surfactant for removal of debris prior to sterilisation.

The Ultrasonic Cleaner is dispensed straight into the bath and will ensure debris is removed without damaging equipment.

The dental instrument cleaner concentrated products above are also suitable for use in the Ultrasonic bath.
